黑夜传说 [原声]背景主题使得原声制作一边倒的偏向一些重型非主流乐队。工业摇滚乐队Nine Inch Nails的吉他手兼制作人Danny Lohner策动并统筹了整张Dark Rock原声专辑。由他与前Limp Bizkit的Wes Borland、Filter的Richand Patrick和A Perfect Circle的Josh Freese临时组成的超级乐队The Damning Well带来了气势恢弘的开篇曲Awakening.
而A Perfect Circle的另一位成员Maynard James Keenan则和Danny Lohner以Puscifer的名义合作了一首迷离诡异的Rev 22:20。另外助阵的还有Red Hot Chili Peppers的John.Frusciante，Helmet的Page Hamilton，女演员Milla Jovavich等等，连英国华丽摇滚变色龙David Bowie也献上了新作Bring Me The Disco King.
最值得推荐的当属隐匿多年刚准备复出的Concrete Blonde女主音Johnette Napolitano的Suicide Note，哀怨的吟唱在沉重的背景声效和简约的钢琴伴奏衬托下尤为突出，散发着浓重的死亡黑暗气息

这电影原声中有很多优秀的乐队 A Perfect Circle、Trustcompany、Finch 还有我的最爱My Chemical Romance 都是因为这部电影原声才认识的 另外还有值得一提的是 这张专集中有两首歌是选自A Perfect Circle 还有两首也分别有A Perfect Circle的成员参与制作 因为喜欢这张专集的风格 所以A Perfect Circle也理所当然的成为我的最爱之一
