很奇怪VC上竟然米有童子发过RIVERSIDE的专辑,Riverside的成员都是搞黑死出身的(吓,想到spiral architect),这应该是个很有性格的乐队,成立6年至今一共发了5张EP+3张正式专辑.三张正式专辑主题挑战的是一个永恒的话题----人生!用三部曲的形式来表现这种"狂妄"的行径之前只有Yes和Dream Theater都有做过,可惜反响不是很理想,至于Riverside的表现如何,我想还是留给大家来评判吧! 印象中美国和意大利一向是我发现出色Prog乐队的两大金属强国，Riverside的出现推翻了我的固执偏见，虽然波兰一直盛产各种极端乐队，加之Riverside乐队成员全部来自各种黑死乐队，但他们做出的音乐却是不折不扣的Progressive Metal！ 大概是因为地理环境的关系，Riverside中随处透漏着浓重的宗教意味，包括专集封面看上去也会让人浮想联翩，我甚至武断的将他们和极端金属扯上了关系。一支优秀的前金乐队，主唱永远是必不可少的：Mariusz Duda的音域并不算多么宽广，而且在演唱过程中，大多数一直试图用过于平静态度在发挥，只是偶尔才会在某个小结将激情迸发，这种唱法着实给喜欢James LaBrie动不动就飙高音的我一个惊喜！Artificial Smile更是将其演唱功力的完全展现，高潮部分连续三句Tell me way将那些愤怒绝望的情绪感染着每一个听者，促使你爱上Riverside的音乐。大概是因为兼弹Bass的原因，Duda经常会在某些段落编入纯粹的Bass和演唱对飙。虽然成立时间不到5年，但是Riverside的戏剧化的编曲和对Prog历来所讲究的氛围化音效运用比起某些成名乐队也丝毫不落于下风。整张专集层次感分明，大段的Riff听上去似乎没有太大变化，但乐手之间对段落的把握，音色的掌控都显示出了非凡的功底。 通篇虽然没有多么复杂多变的奇数拍和乐器演奏，但是细细品位，却又处处充满变化，没有任何一样乐器有超过16小结的Solo，但这丝毫不会影响我对Riverside技术的欣赏。即使把Reality Dream Iii勉强算做一首器乐演奏曲目，Duda阴魂不散的宗教念白也时刻影响着你。敢于在一张9首作品的专集中安排进两曲长度都超过的10分钟的曲目也体现了Riverside队员们的自信。当Second Life Syndrome带给听众的那一抹神秘感还未褪去之时，Dance With The Shadow所讲述的恐惧和死亡会让你相信Riverside绝对有理由对他们的作品充满自信！ PS:顺便庆祝下千帖!!Riverside发了那么多EP完全是因为之前宣称要做人生三部曲,把其他新作品全部收录进EP里.碍于VC那个EP不加精的规定,我把手头有的EP都编辑到一个帖里,这样能让更多人看到,还缺两张最早的EP,我已经在拜托某位fandang的童子在找了,其他朋友如果有的话,麻烦发出来吧,我也很期待的!! 曲目介绍：Riverside - Voices In My Head - 2005 01.
